Girls Night Out

My first girls night out event was a blast. I had been wanting to do this for a while now and finally was able to fit in this wonderful event into my Mommy schedule. I was able to take the night off from being a Mommy and just hang out with the girls for a night of fun; sorely needed fun really. What made this night even better was that not only did I get to have a Girls Night with some great friends, I was able to also help support and raise money for a local charity. Over $12,000 was raised in one night from the event to help support our local Shelter House Domestic and Sexual Violence Center.

There was a silent auction held at the event that had over 95 items being auctioned off and I actually won something (this never happens). I was pretty stoked about my winnings as I received a HUGE basket of spa and wine goodies which have been heavily used since.

This Girls Night Out was held at a local restaurant, Elephant Walk, that reopened this year after a 10 year absence. I had not been since its reopening and can tell you that I wish I had visited sooner. The food was excellent and the views are amazing. They have this amazing deck that overlooks the Gulf and we were able to witness one amazing sunset. I can't wait to go back for a date night sometime soon. And, I can't wait for the next Girls Night Out event either!
