Thanksgiving in Tennessee

I'm a little late in the Thanksgiving update but I have been super busy at work and life just keeps getting in the way of updating this little thing called a blog. But, alas, here I am, finally.

We traveled to Tennessee the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. This was Brandon's 1st long trip in a car (I really mean 1st too. The longest he had been in a car before this was for about 1.5 hours at a time). Of course, Brandon woke up with a very runny nose and was pretty congested. He seemed to be in good spirits though. For the most part, he did okay on the drive. He had his meltdown moments but was all in all okay UNTIL he threw up. Yep, right after we stopped for lunch I might add. And he had broccoli. And it got all in his car seat and all over him. Yep. That just happened. It was gross. He was upset. I will say that after the throwing up he seemed to be in a much better mood and the rest of the trip was mostly uneventful.

We woke up Thanksgiving morning to some of the most beautiful scenery. I bundled Brandon up as it was only like 20 degrees outside and we went a ventured out looking for the horses. The rest of the day was pretty relaxed with just some hanging around the house, playing with all the kids, and cooking up the Thanksgiving feast.

Friday we decided to spend the day in Nashville shopping. Yep, on Black Friday, and I took Brandon. Not the best idea on my part but I really wanted to go into town so we did. We did eat a Cheesecake Factory which is a favorite of mine and we split 4 different cheesecakes that were all divine.

Saturday was all about football. FSU vs Florida and Auburn vs Alabama. If you have seen any of the highlights then you know exactly what happened and most of the family was pretty upset with the Alabama loss. I was the only FSU fan in the house and be that as it may, my team was the only winner of the day and I'm okay with that.

We spent Sunday coming back home and the drive home was much better than the drive there. No sickness, no crabbiness, nothing. All in all, a great holiday spent with family and friends. Looking forward to next year!
