Our Weekend

What do you do on a February afternoon in Florida, go to the park of course.  It was actually pretty chilly this weekend as we had a cold front move through but the sun was shining and I was determined to NOT spend it our days in the house.

Saturday we went for lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. Brandon ate like a champ, like always. We then visited a park close by. The wind was whipping around pretty fiercely so we only stayed for about 20 minutes but Brandon had a great time. This was also Brandon's first outing in shoes. Yes, I have waiting until now to put shoes on my child. We had his foot measured and he is a 4.5 EXTRA WIDE. Do you know how difficult it is to find shoes that would fit an extra wide width?!? Luckily, a wonderful friend had just send me some shoes that her son had grown out of and they fit perfectly.

It took him a little while to get used to walking in the shoes since he has always walked around barefoot but after a few minutes he seemed to do fine. He loved running around the park as you can see below.

We went home afterwards and I wanted to get a picture of him with his new backpack.  So adorable.  It is a Skip Hop backpack purchased from Target for $19.99.  You can find more styles on their website but I fell in love with this one and went ahead and purchased it.

Sunday, we visited another park close by after breakfast at Joe and Eddie's (this and Neighborhood Cafe are our go to breakfast places on Sunday). We were able to play much longer as it was still a bit chilly but the wind was not blowing. Brandon played on the swings for a bit and then just wanted to walk around. You can see that he was perfectly fine walking away. It was so cute. He would walk a bit and then turn around to make sure we were still watching and then go a bit further. So sweet.

We had such a great weekend. I am so glad that Spring is here/just around the corner so we can have more fun outings. Cannot wait to get this little one to the beach this year.
