Product Review: Reliable Steamboy 2

              Reliable Steamboy 2
A few years ago I purchased a Shark Vac and Steam since we had just moved into a house that was wall to wall tile.  I was pretty happy with that purchase at the time but right after owning it for just over a year it broke.  I was so unhappy with the customer service that I vowed to never buy that product again.

Once it broke I started researching other steam vac's but could never find something that I felt could do the job without a bunch of hassle and that didn't cost a ridiculous amount of money. So, I resorted back to using the Swiffer Wet Jet but knew at some point I would want another steam vac becuase I have never been a fan of covering my floors in chemicals (especially now that Brandon is here).

A few months ago I started researching again and found this product, the Reliable Steamboy 2.  I read a ton of reviews and liked the price (it's cheaper than the Reliable website on Amazon.com) so decided to go ahead and purchase it.  I am so happy I did.

This little thing is super lightweight and very easy to use.  There were only 2 screws that were needed to put it together and I had it up and running within 5 minutes of receiving it.  Once of the downfalls of the Shark was that you couldn't vac and steam at the same time.  With this, you can.  It literally cuts down the time to clean the floors in half.

There is a trigger on the handle that you push when you need it to steam (I usually just hold the sucker down to keep it steaming).  The vacuum part picks up pretty much everything on the floor.  The suction is pretty good becuase I almost sucked up my iPhone cord into it.  Also, the head swivels to reach those hard to get areas.

I also like that it doesn't use as much water as the Shark did.  I would have to fill the Shark up a few times to clean all of the floors, with this I only had to fill up at the beginning and still had water left over once I was done.

If you are in the market for a great floor cleaner that uses steam instead of chemicals the I highly recommend the Reliable Steamboy 2.  You can purchase it online through the Reliable website or through Amazon.com like I did.

Below are the specifics pulled directly from the Reliable Website.

  3. I still can't decide if I really like these 2-in-1 deals or if I'd rather just have a regular old fashioned steam cleaner. I think when you start combining appliances like this, the quality of each individual appliance suffers. Like a jack of all trades, master of none sort of thing.
