One Month Old Today

I cannot believe it has already been a month since Brandon was born.  Time has both flew by and taken forever.  My days are much longer now than before Brandon was here due to the lack of sleep I have been getting however, Brandon slept for 6 hours straight Thursday night so I am hoping we are going to be able to sleep for longer stretches at night (I could use it).

He is finally liking his swing for a short period and it's helpful so I can get some things done without having to hold him while he is awake.  We have also been trying to put him to bed in his crib.  Usually he has been sleeping in his pack n play but I am working on getting him in the crib at least at night.  The problem is that he is such a wiggle worm and ends up somehow turning himself completely around in the crib and up against the railing, which he doesn't like.  Since he doesn't like to be swaddled there really isn't much I can do to keep him in one place right now in the crib.

Brandon has some pretty good control of his head.  He can hold it up for a long period of time and loves to look around but hates tummy time.  We can only do it for about 5 minutes before he gets really ticked off and starts screaming.

His smile is infectious.  I really love the fact that he smiles now and it isn't associated with him passing gas.  I cannot wait for that first baby laugh.  It is really amazing how he recognizes when Nick and I talk to him.  You can see him trying to find you when you are talking and it's just amazing when you talk to him and he looks a you and smiles.  Such an amazing feeling.
