Product Review: Reliable Steamboy 2

              Reliable Steamboy 2
A few years ago I purchased a Shark Vac and Steam since we had just moved into a house that was wall to wall tile.  I was pretty happy with that purchase at the time but right after owning it for just over a year it broke.  I was so unhappy with the customer service that I vowed to never buy that product again.

Once it broke I started researching other steam vac's but could never find something that I felt could do the job without a bunch of hassle and that didn't cost a ridiculous amount of money. So, I resorted back to using the Swiffer Wet Jet but knew at some point I would want another steam vac becuase I have never been a fan of covering my floors in chemicals (especially now that Brandon is here).

A few months ago I started researching again and found this product, the Reliable Steamboy 2.  I read a ton of reviews and liked the price (it's cheaper than the Reliable website on Amazon.com) so decided to go ahead and purchase it.  I am so happy I did.

This little thing is super lightweight and very easy to use.  There were only 2 screws that were needed to put it together and I had it up and running within 5 minutes of receiving it.  Once of the downfalls of the Shark was that you couldn't vac and steam at the same time.  With this, you can.  It literally cuts down the time to clean the floors in half.

There is a trigger on the handle that you push when you need it to steam (I usually just hold the sucker down to keep it steaming).  The vacuum part picks up pretty much everything on the floor.  The suction is pretty good becuase I almost sucked up my iPhone cord into it.  Also, the head swivels to reach those hard to get areas.

I also like that it doesn't use as much water as the Shark did.  I would have to fill the Shark up a few times to clean all of the floors, with this I only had to fill up at the beginning and still had water left over once I was done.

If you are in the market for a great floor cleaner that uses steam instead of chemicals the I highly recommend the Reliable Steamboy 2.  You can purchase it online through the Reliable website or through Amazon.com like I did.

Below are the specifics pulled directly from the Reliable Website.

FEATURES
• Powerful 1500W heating element
• 8" sweeper cleaning with path
• 11" cleaning path with swivel head
• 3.3 cup water capacity
• 30 minutes continuous steam
• 16' electrical cord with wrap around feature
• 2 microfiber cloth pads, 1 replaceable water filter

IT SWEEPS! IT STEAMS!
The Reliable Steamboy T2 provides two great cleaning tools for the home in one unit. It's a hard surface sweeper combined with a steam floor mop. Just push the button for an efficient sweeper and then press the steam trigger to clean and sanitize with the power of steam.

EMBRACE EASY, CHEMICAL-FREE CLEANING!
Saves valuable space, time and money. Plug it in, turn it on, and in seconds the Steamboy T2 will change the way you clean. Say goodbye to the dustbin, broom, and the on your hands and knees mop ups. No need to lug out a big vacuum for lighter jobs. All you need is water.

Avent Bottles and Good Customer Service

Yes, this actually happened today.  I decided to go ahead and just purchase more of the Avent bottles that we have been using for Brandon instead of switching it up to a different brand.  We have been using both Avent and Medela but I needed some more 9 oz. bottles since the smaller Medela bottles don't hold enough formula for a single feeding anymore.

So....bought the Avent bottles, a five pack of them, brought them home and went ahead and started sterilizing them.  Well, below is what happened to two...they started melting in the water.  Uh...pretty sure that isn't supposed to happen.  I know this was a random product issue because the other 3 bottles were fine and the other bottles I purchased before never did this.

So, what do I do?  Call the manufacturer and ask for replacements.  Yep, the agreed.  I will be receiving two new bottles with 5-7 business days.

It was so nice, for once, to have an issue with a product, call the manufacturer, actually get to a person within 2 minutes, and have the problem totally resolved within about 5.  High praise to there customer service team.

Thinkbaby v. Born Free v. Green to Grow

Does anyone have any opinions on these three bottle types?  Which works best for you and why? I like that both Born Free and Thinkbaby have easy transitions to sippy cups but would love some input. I have been doing some research and all seem pretty good so I am just looking for any recommendations you may have.

Face Planting into Pillows

I promise we are not torturing him.  He loves this.  We probably did this for about 10 minutes while he laughed the entire time.  He is going to be sitting up on his own in no time.

4th of July Festivities

Starting my day off right
We had a pretty relaxing day compared to previous years...I guess having a new baby will do that.  We spent most of the morning at the house since we had some serious pop up thunderstorms (normal Florida weather in the summer).
Summer Rains
Early in the afternoon we went to Nick's parents house to meet up with his family and some family friends that were in town from Tennessee.

Cat Napping
Later in the evening we decided to go ahead and venture out down to the beach to watch the fireworks show that started around 9:15pm.  We went right around sunset and since this was Brandon's first trip to the beach I wanted to go ahead and get his toes in the sand and the water.  He absolutely loved it.  He is going to be such a water baby.  It was so funny becuase if I turned him away from the water he would get upset.  He loved watching the waves come in.

We then settled in to watch the fireworks over the Santa Rosa sound.  I was a little worried that all the noise would scare Brandon, but nope, he loved it.  He watched the ENTIRE fireworks show without making a peep.  He was mesmerized by all the different colors and sounds.  All in all, it was a great 1st Independence Day celebration with Brandon (minus the ridiculous heat and humidity going on right now).

Watching the fireworks.  So enamored by it all.
BTW...we went through 3 outfits today.  He had a blowout in outfit one and got outfit two wet at the beach. All in a day's work for a 3 month old :)

Also, hope to have some pics from the beach up soon.
